David Uricoli

Senior Advisor

David Uricoli is a Senior Advisor to Fontheim International, LLC.

David is a leader in the corporate social responsibility industry. He worked for Ralph Lauren Corporation for over 32 years with the last twenty years as the Vice president of Global Human Rights.

David developed, implemented, and managed ethical and sustainable strategies, goals, and sourcing standards, including material traceability and certifications.

He was a key member of Ralph Lauren’s Global Citizenship and Sustainability Committees. 

With extensive product and sourcing knowledge that includes facility analysis, as well as product development, product engineering, and production management, David developed the Global Human Rights Compliance department which now grew into the Global Citizenship dept. The department became the company’s compass for their ethical and socially responsible global production ecosystems.

David has collaborated with an extensive network of internal corporate departments, from designers through supply chain, and externally with experts, advocates, investors, suppliers, and manufacturers to establish best practices, immediate and long-term goals, and the pathways to achieve them. His leadership of goal development includes vendor management goals, production metrics, material traceability, and circular targets.

David is a respected industry advisor who serves on the Executive Advisory Board for the International Trade and Marketing Department of the Fashion Institute of Technology and is a frequent in class speaker.  He is the former Co-Chair of Social Responsibility Committee of the American Apparel and Footwear Association and was a founding member of the Ralph Lauren Sustainability and Citizenship Committee.

A graduate from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, David continued his education at Cornell University ILR School.
