Tara Holeman
Director
Tara Holeman is a Director of Fontheim International, LLC. Ms. Holeman has more than 15 years’ experience working in corporate responsibility and human rights, with a focus on supply chain issues, capacity building, compliance and stakeholder engagement. She has been based in Mexico, Hong Kong and Indonesia with extensive travel / work experience throughout Latin America and South and East Asia.
Her career spans both the private and public sectors and she has worked on multi-stakeholder initiatives, crisis communications, policy implementation, development and delivery of tools and training, and research and benchmarking of best practices. She has advised both established and new firms on corporate responsibility compliance tools and methodologies.
Ms. Holeman was most recently a Senior Operations Officer of the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group). In this capacity, she managed program design for labor interventions in IFC-invested sectors and served as the key contact to the Better Work program, a joint initiative with the International Labor Organization.
Ms. Holeman previously worked for Adidas in the Social and Environmental Affairs department, and Reebok in the company’s Human Rights program.
From 2001 to 2004, Ms. Holeman was the Hong Kong Director of Business for Social Responsibility, where she launched the training program that became the China Training Institute of BSR. While in Hong Kong, Ms. Holeman implemented training and advisory projects in China, India and Japan for firms and business associations. She also worked for a consulting firm, providing advisory services for global companies and nonprofit organizations.
Ms. Holeman is a graduate of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, where she was managing editor of the Fletcher Forum of World Affairs. She has a BA from Stanford University. She is a volunteer instructor of ESL, active in community projects and is fluent in Spanish.
