Ms. Chorlins began her federal government service in the Office of Senator John C. Danforth (R-MO, Ret.), advising the senator on international trade and competitiveness issues. From 1992 to 1998, Marjorie was director for international trade relations at Motorola Inc., where she advanced company priorities on trade policy and promotion matters. In 1998, Marjorie became executive vice president of Business for Social Responsibility, the leading provider of information and technical assistance on socially responsible business policies and practices. Together with the CEO, Ms. Chorlins developed the strategic direction for and managed the continued growth of the organization, and she consulted directly with company executives on specific social responsibility topics.
Ms. Chorlins rejoined Motorola’s global government relations organization in June 2000 as as Senior Director of Advocacy & Global Strategy. She leveraged political resources to support Motorola’s global sales and to resolve matters of global strategic importance to the corporation. She also worked on structural, operational and programmatic issues to ensure that the organization effectively supported customer and business priorities.
Ms. Chorlins served at director of government & regulatory affairs at Lockheed Martin from 2007 to 2011, where she managed the international portfolio and focused on export control reform and defense trade policy.
